Open the page and you may use the tool, for anything, including commercial work, with no fee, no registration and no attribution required. Nothing this tool produces carries a licence from us, because we never acquire any rights in it.

You may not attempt to interfere with the site for other people — probing it for vulnerabilities, hammering it with automated traffic, or republishing it as though it were yours. The code and the writing on this site belong to the people who made it; the pictures you put through it do not, and never did.

Every picture you open stays yours. It is read in your browser, it is never transmitted to us, and we could not claim a right in it even if we wanted to, because we never receive it.

What you put a mark on, and what you claim by putting it there, is your responsibility. A mark is a statement about ownership; making that statement about a picture that is not yours does not become defensible because a tool made it easy. Likewise, stamping a document scan does not authorise you to send that document anywhere you were not already entitled to send it.

The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will work, keep working, or produce a result you are happy with. Browsers differ, files are strange, and a tool that runs entirely on your own machine inherits whatever that machine does.

• Keep your originals. Everything this tool writes is a new file, and the original is never altered — but a habit of keeping originals is worth more than any assurance from us.
• Look at what comes out before you depend on it. A marked file is a new encode, and what you see in the preview is what the export re-draws, but you should still open one before you send three hundred.
• Nothing here is legal advice. The guides explain what a visible mark does and does not achieve; whether that is enough for your situation is a question for somebody qualified in your jurisdiction.
• To the fullest extent the law allows, the people who run this site are not liable for any loss arising from using it, including lost work, lost time or a result that did not meet your expectations.

These terms may be updated as the site changes. There is no account to notify, so the version published here is the version in force; substantive changes will be visible in the page itself rather than announced. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
